SUBSTANCE POLICY
Drugs are illegal and strictly prohibited on site. We will be conducting thorough entry searches, and anybody found in possession of controlled substances will be refused admission without refund and handed over to the police.
Whilst we uphold a zero tolerance policy, should anybody begin to feel unwell as a result of substance misuse, we urge them to contact our specially-trained staff without fear of judgement. There will be an onsite welfare facility as well as a designated medics room, where our staff can assist people with issues such as substance awareness, mental health and any other issues. They also support people with existing health conditions who wish to attend but may find they need additional support.
FACILITIES ON SITE
MEDICAL AND WELFARE
If at any point during the event you feel that you or anybody else needs medical assistance, please make your way to Welfare to seek help immediately. Our qualified medical team will be on hand to help, whether you or any of your friends feel unwell, or even if you just need to escape the crowd for a time out. To locate the Welfare area, have a look at the event map, keep your eyes peeled for signage, or ask any member of staff who will be more than happy to assist.
SAFE SPACES
We believe that going clubbing and attending festivals should not only be a positive, life-affirming experience for everybody – but should be a “safe haven” for people to be themselves and respect others. Everybody is treated as equal, regardless of their ethnicity, gender-identity, sexual-orientation, age, faith or disability. We encourage anybody who feels uncomfortable or intimidated to approach our staff with confidence. Discretion assured. Discrimination and harassment of any form goes against everything we stand for, and it won’t be tolerated at any of our events. More information can be found on the Ask Angela posters around site.
LOCKERS
Lockers will be available for hire on the day for storing extra layers of clothing and valuable items.
Because you can access your stuff whenever you like using your own key, it is advisable to lock your mobile phone and wallet away rather than carrying in your bag or pocket, unfortunately pick pockets are yet again targeting London clubbers.
Please bear in mind that the organiser holds no responsibility for the items left in lockers.
PHONE CHARGING
You can charge your phone at the lockers area!
FOOD & DRINK
No food can be taken into the festival. There will be a wide-variety of food traders catering to all dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
Free water is available at dedicated water points and at the bars.
REUSABLE CUPS
In order to avoid disposal of tons of single use plastic cups, at this year’s elrow Town drinks will be served in reusable cups site wide.
We will be putting a lot of measures in place to help us make this process worthwhile and ensure that we reuse or recycle all (or as many as possible) of the cups properly. These measures include the £1 levy system, separate cup bins and cup-dedicated teams on site. Please help us by bringing your cup to the bar or using the correct bin otherwise!
CIGARETTES
There will be units selling tobacco products on site.
LOST PROPERTY
If you find or lose anything, head straight down to the Info Point where all lost property will be taken to and logged in. After the event, if you realise you have misplaced something (let's face it, we've all been there) then log details on bit.ly/lwelostproperty. Lost property is stored for 30 days after the event so don't hang about.
Missing mobile phones
It'll come as no surprise that phone thieves and pickpockets target large events. Please be super careful with your bags and phones and follow the advice below:
- Do NOT put your phone in your back pocket.
- Do NOT put your phone in your bag unless you know it is safe from pickpockets. Remember that thieves are highly skilled at opening zips and clasps.
- Do NOT hand your phone to a stranger to take a photo of you and your friends.
- People will be searched at random as they exit should we receive any reports of mobile phone theft and a corresponding description of a potential thief.
If your mobile phone does happen to be stolen, the only way we can do our best to help you is if you can give us a description of the thief and the location of the theft in as much detail as possible. Please report any theft to Info Point and they will do their best to help
CASH MACHINES
There are plenty of cash machines on site - have a look at the event map to locate them.
MERCHANDISE
Merchandise info will be available soon.
TICKETING AND ENTRY
MISSING TICKETS
If you cannot find the email with your ticket - Please log in to the site you bought them from and you can download them from there. Any further problems please contact the ticketing site directly.
ID & TICKET SCANNING
Your tickets will be checked and scanned on arrival. Printing your ticket out will definitely speed up entry, but it is not compulsory. If you want to save some trees, having your ticket on your phone is absolutely fine too.
The event is over 18s only. Challenge 25 will be in operation, so you know the score - if you're lucky enough to look under 25, you'll be asked to provide photo ID proving that you are of age. Please take it as a compliment - and remember to bring some photo ID with you.
The only accepted forms of ID are a valid and up to date passport, driving license or home office approved proof of age card or a foreign national ID card that clearly displays the PASS hologram. Birth certificates will not be accepted as they are not valid forms of photo ID.
When queuing, please do so as quietly and respectfully as humanly possible. We've made sure that there are enough lanes to make your entry as quick and painless as possible
